Dave Lieber's Famed Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. extra lean ground round beef
- Worcestershire sauce
- Soy sauce
- Seasoned salt
- Garlic powder
- Pepper
- Olive oil
- 3 cans tomato sauce
- Italian seasoning
- 1 lb. lasagna
- 1 lb. ricotta cheese
- 1 lbs. mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Season the beef with Worcestershire, soy, pepper, seasoned salt, and garlic. Mix thoroughly.
- Roll the beef into marble-sized meatballs and brown in olive oil. (Drain the grease if you prefer)
- Add the tomato sauce and Italian seasonings.
- Stir and simmer.
- Strain out the meatballs
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Boil lasagna in salt water (with a touch of olive oil to prevent sticking)
- Cover the bottom of the lasagna pan sparingly with tomato sauce and line the bottom with three strips of lasagna. Dot with spoonfuls of ricotta, slivers of mozzarella and a little Parmesan.
- Spread with half the sauce and add all the meatballs. Repeat with another layer of lasagna, sauce and cheeses.
- Bake 45 minutes.
- Let cool before eating.
- Dave's Tip: Best if cooked the day before using and then reheated for the actual meal.
